West Moreton Shaft - 'Jessie Brown' Project Launch PDF Print E-mail

The official  launch of the project announced by the Haenke Foundation, the Mineworkers Trust and the State Member for Bundamba, Jo-Ann Miller. Also attending was Local Councillor Bruce Casos. Also attending were a number of retired coal miners workers. Information about this project can be viewed here.

  • Spinners and Weavers Display
There will also be some recently prepared mining machinery on display .

Mining Murals - Redbank PDF Print E-mail
Completed and officially unveiled 23 April, 2008, this Mural depicts various mining related scenes.  The mural is on the sound barriers on the northern side of the Ipswich Motorway (left hand side, going to Brisbane).

The Ipswich Heritage Trails - Coal Minng - Then & Now Brochure

This Brochure was officially release in October 2007, and contains some Mining History of the Ipswich area.  The brochure can be obtained from the Ipswich Visitor Information Centre, 14 Queen Victoria Parade, Ipswich.
